Optimization: Accelerated YOLOv8 on Jetson Nano hardware via C++ inference engines; reduced latency for real-time edge processing via strategic model pruning to operate within strict processing constraints.
Architecture: Designed a reliable system to synchronize laser and camera sensors, fixing data errors to improve accuracy in difficult high-glare environments for the autonomous vehicle while ensuring more consistent performance.
Output: Authored 28-page manuscript detailing research framework, state-machine logic, and schematics.

Social Robotics & Computer Vision | Lead Developer 2023 – Present

Hardware Reconstruction: Salvaged parts from 5 broken laptops to build 1 functional unit; honored with a school-wide technical achievement award for sustainable engineering and resourcefulness.
Autonomous Prototype: Developed a Jetson Nano-based vehicle for research; integrated LiDAR and Depth Cameras for navigation and obstacle detection using custom middleware for sensor fusion.
Embedded Systems: Programmed ESP32 and Arduino for IoT; built internet-controlled cars from AliExpress and custom motor driver tools in a personal home-lab focused on rapid prototyping.
