About Abedalraheem Alagha
Abedalraheem Alagha (also known as Abed Alagha) is an Information Technology student and robotics researcher based in Doha, Qatar. He conducts applied research in autonomous vehicle navigation, multi-sensor computer vision, and embedded edge computing. With practical experience spanning embedded systems (ESP32/Arduino), NVIDIA Jetson Nano computing, and automated Python workflows, he bridges the gap between hardware fabrication and modern software engineering.
Current Academic Status: B.Sc. Information Technology at University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) (2024 - 2030 (Expected)).
Selected Research Investigations
Applied scientific investigations in autonomous perception, edge AI computer vision, and document compliance automation:
-
Building Autonomous Vehicles for a Sustainable Future (2024)
This 28-page research investigation evaluates sensory architectures and real-time inference frameworks for small-scale autonomous ground vehicles operating under high-temperature urban road conditions in Qatar. The study analyzes the trade-offs between LiDAR-based spatial point cloud processing versus edge camera-based deep convolutional neural network object detection on power-constrained embedded systems. -
Multi-Modal Sensory Fusion in Expressive Social Robotics (2024)
Explores the mechanical and computational integration of computer vision head-tracking with recycled electronic components to create reactive social robot kinetic sculptures. Investigates human-robot interaction response times and motor control smoothing algorithms. -
Heuristic and AI-Assisted Multi-Page Legal Document Validation (2026)
A case study and technical report on designing an automated pipeline for rapid validation of large-scale legal contracts. Demonstrates how rule-based regex parsing combined with LLM semantic extraction reduced a 3-month manual auditing workload into a 3-week automated verification cycle.
Selected Engineering Projects
Hardware fabrication, autonomous platforms, e-waste computing, and production automation pipelines:
-
Autonomous RC Vehicle Testbed — Robotics & Edge AI (2024)
A 1:10 scale autonomous vehicle prototype powered by NVIDIA Jetson Nano running TensorRT-optimized YOLOv8 computer vision and C++ PID motor control. -
Legal Contract Automation Rule Engine — Fintech (2026)
Automated Python verification pipeline that scanned and verified 600+ 30-page legal PDF agreements at SkipCash, compressing 3 months of work into 3 weeks. -
Zombie PC: Scrap E-Waste Computer — Hardware (2024)
Constructed a fully functional, high-performance desktop workstation using scavenged motherboards, power supplies, and RAM from 5 broken e-waste laptops. -
Kinetic Scrap Robot Sculpture — Art & Tech (2024)
Interactive robotic sculpture built from scrap electronics that tracks viewer movement and turns its head responsively using ESP32 kinematics.
